Corona Virus Update: How Verapax protects clients and employees

Since January of this year, VeraPax became aware of the Corona Virus, COVAD-19, in China. We monitored it daily through the Corona Virus Updates COVID-19 Global Cases by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) website as soon as it was created.

As we watched its rapid spread in China, it was determined by our Team that we should prepare for the possibility of it reaching the US. When the first case was diagnosed in Arizona, we realized the threat was much closer to home sooner than expected.

VeraPax follows Best Practices for Personnel

In February we began to purchase and stock supplies such as antibacterial soap, antibacterial wipes, paper towels, tissues, face masks, cloth gardening gloves (washable) for when in public, and took many other prudent steps.

On March 2nd employees arriving at work were provided a “Stay Well Goodie Bag”. The bag contained tissues, facial masks, protective gloves, and antibacterial wipes. Along with each kit was provided a printed Public Health best practices for basic hygiene to prevent and stop spreading of any infection or fever-based illness.

VeraPax has now implemented guidelines that instruct those Team members who experience cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home and follow the CDC’s instructions.

The CDC’s Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers is the guide we use.

We also have implemented guidelines for customer-facing employees to conduct more digital communications and less face-to-face meetings to further protect our customers and employees.

We have signs posted at both entrances to our building requiring everyone to wash their hands when they enter our facility, other than delivery personnel.

We have a Business Continuity Plan

On March 9th, VeraPax reached out to a local vendor we have a long history of partnering with to discuss a facility contingency plan. After this plan was discussed, both parties quickly agreed to partner in this way. In the unlikely event, we are unable to meet production requirements at our location, we will move production to their facility to keep client projects moving.

Additionally, we have also secured production materials 60 days prior to recurring for common job types. In case the supply chains will be disrupted we have the material to keep production schedules.

There are circumstances we can not control or foresee. We will adjust accordingly as best as we can to the rapidly changing impact on all areas of business and home life.

We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust as necessary to help limit the spread of this virus and do our part in helping to protect our valued Clients, Partners, and Team members during this time.
